The idea for Yellow Ribbon Weddings comes from a love story. My parents met while my Dad, active military, was stationed in my mother’s hometown. After receiving a new assignment to France, my father left my mother behind. For months on end, he wrote her letters via air mail, until finally, he asked for her hand in marriage. My mother, a small-town girl, boarded a plane for the first time to fly to France to marry my father. The picture to the right are my parents on their wedding day!
